Is junk starting to pile up in your house or in your yard? If so, the best way to get rid of it may be to rent a roll-off dumpster. At LCI Recycling, we rent out a ton of dumpsters, and over the years we’ve worked with many homeowners, many of whom lacked the knowledge to properly use our roll-off dumpsters, which is why we wanted to list out some considerations today.
How Many Dumpsters Do You Need?
Depending on the amount of stuff you’re planning on throwing out, you may consider renting more than a single dumpster. Once you’ve filled up a dumpster, one of our trucks will come to pick it up and dump it off. This means you won’t be able to continue working until the dumpster is brought back, an issue solved by renting multiple dumpsters. Additionally, you can also opt for a larger sized dumpster to help alleviate this problem.
Don’t Overfill Your Dumpster
Most people try to fill up their rented dumpsters as much as they can, but we advise you not to fill it past the fill line. All of our roll-off dumpsters have an emphasized fill line, and it’s there for a reason. If things are piled up past it, our trucks can’t pick them up, and you could end up paying additional fees.
Where Will The Dumpster Be Placed?
Though they come in different sizes, all of our dumpsters are fairly big, which means you need to make sure you have space for it. We can’t tell you how many times we’ve shown up at a house and asked the homeowner where to place the dumpster and they just look at us puzzled. If you’re unsure of whether or not a dumpster will fit where you’re thinking of placing it, get into contact with us, and we can discuss specific measurements of each of our dumpsters.
